Job Description
Our rapidly growing consulting firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant & Business Analyst with expertise in regulatory technology and compliance analytics. The ideal candidate will support our emerging Regulation Technology team which collaborates broadly with our Risk and Compliance Advisory group. This role involves assisting clients across various sectors in the design and execution of regulation technology solutions, including system testing, tuning, calibration, and analyzing trends and patterns to refine models. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work with large data sets, ensuring that Compliance teams are well-equipped with the necessary information for effective policy development and decision-making.
This includes a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, applying them across different business models, designing effective systems, leveraging data efficiently, and ensuring the successful execution of compliance programs. Responsibilities also encompass the creation and maintenance of methodologies for the periodic and ongoing evaluation of monitoring systems.

Responsibilities:
- Engage closely with clients to comprehend their regulatory compliance needs and design solutions that address these requirements.
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to evaluate and mitigate compliance risks.
- Improve data quality and implement controls to support compliance and risk management efforts.
- Provide strategic guidance on best practices in compliance and stay updated on regulatory changes.
- Develop, implement, and refresh compliance management systems, policies, and procedures in response to new or updated regulations.
- Lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of compliance dashboards and reporting systems.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the compliance space.
- Identify operational gaps or risk exposures and implement the necessary controls and risk assessments.
- Analyze complex situations and apply experience and judgment to resolve issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, technology, and business stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Assist with data mapping and the creation of technical documentation.

Qualifications
- SQL experience is a requirement
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Law, Compliance, Analytics, Computer Science, etc.)
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory technology, with a focus on data analytics and risk management
- Advanced knowledge of SQL required -A SQL technical test will be a part of the interview process
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data analytics tools and techniques
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills to communicate risks in an effective way to all levels of seniority
- Flexibility in changing directions based on business demands
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance best practices, such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.
- Ability to think strategically and provide actionable recommendations to clients
- Familiarity with data privacy laws and security standards is a plus
- Experience in contract analytics is a plus
- Understanding of data mapping and technical documentation writing is required
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Additional Information
Compensation for this role is between $86-110K. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, and market location.
