Full-Time Position: Landscape Architect / Designer / Project Manager
Experience: 2+ Years
INTRODUCTION
We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our successful small design firm of three professionals, providing a full range of landscape architecture services, from planning to conceptual design to construction observation. Our goal, as an office, is to design timeless places that make a difference for their communities and settings.
THE CANDIDATE
We are looking for a candidate with intellect, judgment, design talent, and problem-solving ability. Secondary considerations are professional experience, demonstrated working drawing production capabilities, and presentation skills. The candidate can meet the twin goals of high standards (including CAD standards) and efficiency. The candidate should be in the process of pursuing licensure.
The ideal candidate is a strong, confident project manager with a portfolio that demonstrates a high level of design facility and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, teams, agencies, and contractors. The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work independently, yet open and receptive to collaborative work within a team.
The selected candidate will work on all aspects of project development, including conceptual design, construction documents, technical details, and construction observation. The position is full-time.
Educational Requirements:
Accredited degree in Landscape Architecture. Graduate degree preferred.
Skill Requirements:
Design and CAD drafting experience in a Landscape Architecture studio. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe CC.
THE OFFICE
The selected candidate will support our work on a variety of projects, including civic and institutional sites, streetscapes, urban parks, plazas, university campuses, sports fields, open spaces, and cultural landscapes. Our office operates within an informal, collaborative, open-studio setting where staff work as a team in all aspects of project development. We are a close and supportive team who are committed to maintaining a healthy work/life balance. We share office space with a collaborative of several small landscape architecture studios.
Problem-solving work occurs during all stages of our design, from historical analysis and program development to placemaking, site ecological analysis, construction cost analysis, and maintenance concerns.
Benefits: Dillingham offers qualification-based competitive salaries, with opportunities for career growth for those who effectively apply themselves, training, and professional development assistance. Benefits include health insurance. Dillingham offers all staff a life outside of the office. Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience. This is a full-time position.
