Job Summary:
Vanderbilt Hospital is expanding! We are hiring Registered Nurse Circulators as part of this expansion. In this role, you will operate as a Circulator and patient advocate for individuals undergoing thoracotomies, procedures using da Vinci Robotics, and urological procedures.
SHIFTS: Shifts are either four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts each week. Shifts will be scheduled in the Monday-Friday range. Must be available for on call shifts (must be within 30 minutes of the OR when on-call).
$25,000 Sign On Bonus for Candidates with 1 or More Years of RN Circulator Experience*
* The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months. The sign-on bonus is only available for full-time positions.

Vanderbilt's Thoracic Surgery program is known for its commitment to excellence in patient care. We offer a wide variety of surgical options for diseases and disorders affecting the chest. These include conditions of the lung and esophagus.
One of the perks of working in this area is gaining world-class experience in a vast array of surgical interventions. RN Circulators in this area are successful because they have initiative, critical thinking skills, and care deeply for patients. Orientation uses didactic learning and simulation-based training to enhance the preceptorship experience and provide each nurse a safe space for learning.

- Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.

- Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
