Job Description
ISN Corporation, a federal government contractor located in Bethesda, MD, is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to support a Head Start Contract. The Project Coordinator will assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and managing the activities in accordance with the contract to ensure Early Head Start and Head Start program objectives and deliverables are successfully met.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to supporting the PM with the following tasks:
- Experience supervising implementation projects in early childhood education, healthcare, or related areas.
- Provide supervisory support for Head Start Teams executing coordinated organization, direction, and implementation of complex projects and integration of Knowledge Areas, with an initial focus on Scope, Schedule, Cost, resources, and Risks.
- Assist in planning, executing, monitoring, and modifying Early Head Start and Head Start program work and processes via a detailed plan.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining Head Start tracking tools to identify competing deadlines and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Document and maintain Head Start project work plan, meetings, decisions, work change orders, project deliverables, progress reports, schedules, and other pertinent reports.
- Assist in preparing timely and accurate Monthly Status Reports, Task Summary Reports, and other reports as required by the client.
- Maintain and update Head Start document management sites.
- Prepare and deliver status reports as required by the program.
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting client services projects of the size, scope, and complexity like this project.
- 3+ years' experience related to program and/or organizational management and/or fiscal operations with HS/EHS programs and the development and implementation of comprehensive management systems.
- Ability/experience in providing support developing, implementing, and managing/improving complex, high profile, multi-faceted projects including experience in implementing quality assurance systems that improved the provision of client services.
- Ability to review, aggregate, and present data gathered from multiple sources.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and leading work execution/project platforms and tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Masters in early childhood education preferred.
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Change management experience highly desirable.
