Under the direction of the Medical Director and lead Clinical Supervisor, supervises licensed clinicians and/or counselors providing assessment, crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, case management, and outreach. A portion of the time may be spent performing individual clinical and administrative tasks including carrying a small caseload; however, supervisory activities constitute the primary part of the job.
Clinical Supervisors ensure compliance with UCSF Dept. of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science departmental or organizational policies, procedures, and defined internal controls. Ensures accountability and stewardship of department resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental standards and procedures. Assists in ensuring the quality of treatment delivery and quality assurance, and reviews clinical documentation for compliance with city, county, state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
Other supervisory aspects of the role include training, scheduling/assignment of duties, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
