Job Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the Treasury Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations relating to cash management, debt administration, short-term investments, and Merchant Services/PCI Compliance. This position will collaborate with members at all levels of the Institution and play a key role in supporting the advancement of the department's strategic financial initiatives.
Essential Job Duties
- Manage, analyze, and prepare daily cash position and liquidity forecasts.
- Execute strategies and make recommendations to optimize cash, debt, and short-term investments.
- Evaluate and implement new banking products, technology, and/or services. Perform bank fee analysis and make recommendations to reduce costs.
- Manage all online banking platforms including user administration, entitlement review, security, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain financial models relating to debt payments, interest projections, and capital expenditures.
- Administer the Institute's credit card merchant accounts, PCI compliance program, and Finance and Campus Miscellaneous Remittance Portal. Identify risks and vulnerabilities, improve credit card data processes, and develop policies and procedures.
- Oversee debt covenants and disclosure reporting requirements relating to taxable/tax-exempt bonds and credit agreements.
- Develop, document, and implement Treasury policies and procedures consistent with industry best practices.
- Approve petty cash disbursements and opening/closure of funds. Support Controller's Office with fund audits, including remediating findings identified in audits.
- Manage all Treasury-related vendor payments for banks, rating agencies, bond counsel, and bond trustees.
- Assist in the issuance of long-term debt. Conduct due diligence review, credit ratio analysis, benchmarking, and peer-group analysis.
- Provide Institute-wide customer service relating to treasury-related functions.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics (or closely related field), and five (5) years of related experience.
- Excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, customer service and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to manage company-wide projects and implementation of industry best practices.
- Extensive knowledge of treasury products, services, and technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or closely related field.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation highly preferred.
