In support of a DISA prototyping effort, the Intel and Cyber Division is assembling a team to support a program that provides critical network capabilities to the Department of Defense. Amentum is committed to recruiting and retaining this team for prototype development, test, and demonstration, as well as making this team available longer term for integration, deployment and sustainment as needed.

Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Systems Architect include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate with engineers and configuration management team to diagram complex IT systems and networks.
- Develop new or enhance current business functions, organizational structure, and information technology efficiencies within the enterprise.
- Create business and architecture documents using both Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) reference models.
- Providing day-to-day administration of systems, optimizing system resources, and assisting users with technical issues.
- Performs system capacity analysis and planning, maintains servers, creates monitoring reports and logs, making recommendations for improvements, and planning for future system needs.
- Brief complex concepts to senior leaders and advise leadership on the development of technical approaches to solving engineering related problems.
- Baseline the existing architecture, identify gaps or vulnerabilities, and recommend a clear strategy for direction for improvements.
- Support the formulation and execution of acquisition and system lifecycle strategies as needed.
- Participate in project activities to ensure knowledge creation/sharing and integration within and across the work program as appropriate.
- Possessing comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, networking, programming languages, and operating systems used within the organization.
- Managing configurations and documenting system topologies, changes, and upgrades.
- Creating technical implementation plans for integrating solutions, including timelines and critical paths.
- Plans, organizes, and documents complex system design activities and configure systems to be consistent with the government policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must have expert knowledge of DoDAF and FEAF architectural frameworks.
- Have a good working knowledge of requirements development, engineering, architectures, and conceptual design.
- Experience working with graphic visualization tools such as Visio, netTerrain, and SolarWinds.
- Demonstrated and excellent working knowledge in data communications, ethernet, TCP/IP, fiber optics, video teleconferencing, and cryptographic equipment.
- Ability to work independently with little guidance or direction with ambiguous suspense dates as well as ability to work as part of a team with precise objectives and clear end states.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Clearance Required:
- Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS with the ability to acquire SCI.
Minimum Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience.
Preferred
- DoDAF, FEAF, ITIL certification.
