As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
The Site Manager Installation will be able to perform on-site activities, coordinate the commissioning & start-up activities with the customer. The Site Manager shall have knowledge of main customer plant processes, managing job cost control in terms of project and resource scheduling. The role coordinates the work with suppliers who provide specialist services, monitoring activities in compliance with EHS regulations, organizing the work activities, signaling unsecure situations, and promoting safe working conditions. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Attends all site coordination meetings.
- Ensures that site work activities are reported daily to customer and GE.
- Ensures that TFAs have adequate resources (manpower, tools, technical documents, facilities, etc.) to perform their tasks.
- Coordinates activities of site TFA to ensure project schedule and quality goals are achieved.
- Ensures all TFA timesheets are correct and approvals as required are obtained.
- Management of Subcontractor Companies: manpower, OEM specialists (when applicable).
- Ensures all reports and drawings are completed.
- Ensures the application of applicable EHS safety rules.
- Resolution of site non-conformances. Ensures non-conformances are communicated and managed through company tools with appropriate HQs interfaces.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel may be required.
- Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by field assignments.
- Manage and develop employees.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Equivalent of +10 years’ experience in the field.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and thermodynamic cycles as they relate to heavy-duty turbines.
- Prior gas turbine testing experience.
- Successful completion of required training programs is a minimum requirement.
- Demonstrated progressive, responsible experience with various types of turbine generator equipment and site accountabilities is required.

- Responsible for the planning, delivery, management, and governance of assigned projects in accordance with the Company Core Values and standards for project management processes defined by scope, terms, conditions, schedule & quality.
- Provide leadership and clear direction to project team in terms of project execution.
- Expert level. Able to act as a senior company representative on any outage for the unit qualified. Acts as project manager and mentor on complex projects.
- Experience with modeling and analysis programs for gas turbines.
- Proficient in the use of computers and PC software.
- Excellent customer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in the English language.
Compensation and Benefits:
The weekly salary range for this position is $115,200 to $190,000. This is an exempt from overtime position. Additional compensation may be paid when employees exceed 40 billable hours in a week. FieldCore benefits include medical insurance. Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
