The Director of Engineering must have electrical, IT, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, wall covering, carpentry, and electronic repair and maintenance.

Compensation: $100,000 - $110,000 yearly DOE
Responsibilities:
- Attract, employ, train, motivate, and retain a team of employees, vendors, and consultants who operate and maintain the physical plant including boilers, chillers, pumps and valves, cooling towers, complex make-up air systems, elevators, and emergency generators.
- Manage the repair and maintenance program including routine and periodic work orders, and preventive maintenance of all facilities on the campus.
- Select and oversee the repair and maintenance of large, complex, and specialized equipment by outside contractors.
- Conduct thorough periodic inspections of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems throughout the campus to assure optimum maintenance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all operating departments comply with local, state, and Federal building, occupancy, health, safety, and fire codes.
- Manage the BMS to ensure optimal comfort in all areas of the campus while minimizing energy costs and managing the property-wide energy conservation program.
- Operate the engineering department including scheduling, inventory, and spare parts management.
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Engineering budget including generating and executing the departmental operating budget and property capital construction budget.
- Develop, implement, and oversee all Capex and projects from a construction standpoint and report regularly on their progress.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Director of Engineering or Assistant preferably in a luxury or boutique hotel company.
- At least ten years of increasing responsibility in the engineering field.
- Three to five years of supervisory experience over at least 5 employees.
- In-depth knowledge of the most up-to-date practices in construction, HVAC systems, ME systems, PM, energy conservation, fire and life safety, and security systems.
- Knowledge of the basic principles of carpentry and furniture construction, plumbing, electrical distribution, masonry, painting and wallcovering, landscaping, and pest management.
