Focus:
- Develop metrics collection pipelines from various distributed systems.
- Clean and integrate large datasets from multiple sources to ensure robust data availability.
- Collaborate with system owners to define and meet Service Level Objectives.
- Partner with Operations and Reliability Engineers to create insightful dashboards and alerts.
- Assist Systems Engineers in analyzing large sets of performance data to drive design and network optimization.
- Validate and improve the accuracy of simulation models using operational data at scale.
- Support cross-functional teams in making data-informed decisions to enhance system reliability and performance.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Physics, or Computer Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or MATLAB.
- Strong background in SQL databases, mathematical/statistical analysis, and data visualization (e.g., optimizing complex queries for large datasets).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and concisely with all departments and levels of management.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with AWS data pipeline tools (S3, Kinesis, Kinesis Analytics, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, R, MATLAB, Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, or Grafana.
- General understanding of electrical engineering principles is desired but not required.
