Seeking BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join talented team just NW of Myrtle Beach, SC. True rural health family med role. The town has about 5,000 people only 25 miles from Myrtle Beach and it is a fabulous town with excellent schools.
Job Responsibilities:
- Outpatient clinical role – no inpatient
- Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm)
- Protected administrative time (5 days clinic time with .5-day admin time per week)
- 36 patient contact hours / 4 admin hours
- Call Schedule: Minimal, shared among all physicians on a 1:7 to 1:8 rotation
- Cerner EMR
- Dedicated nurse and shared medical assistant
- Average Patient Volume: 18-22 patients per day
- Patient Census: Primarily adult and geriatric patients, with some pediatric cases
- Demographics: A mix of rural and suburban patients, with common cases such as hypertension, diabetes, and routine wellness checks.
- Visit Types: Sick visits, follow-ups for chronic conditions, annual physical exams, and acute care visits.
- Typical Procedures: In-office procedures include minor dermatologic procedures, joint injections, skin biopsies, routine vaccinations, and women’s health screenings.
