Chief Medical Officer - WHH & WHWH
We are currently in search of our newest Chief Medical Officer who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community at Winter Haven Hospital and Winter Haven Women's Hospital. Both hospitals have an outstanding reputation for superior, patient-centered care. Responsibilities:
The Chief Medical Officer - WHH & WHWH is the local physician executive responsible for working with medical staff and hospital presidents to achieve the Health System and Medical Staff mutual interests of delivering safe, high quality and efficient healthcare to our patients.
- Coaching and mentoring physicians.
- Active engagement around quality assurance, utilization review, and process improvement.
- Developing and maintaining a professionally competent medical staff through both initial and ongoing privileging & credentialing activities.
- Acts as an advocate on behalf of our patients, the Health System and the Medical Staff.
- Coordinates development of documentation and presentations to support the Health System and Medical Staff positions before external payers, accreditor, & regulatory agencies.
- Works collaboratively across the system to engender a system approach of clinical standardization and excellence in the delivery of high quality cost efficient care.
Certifications and Licensures Required:
- Medical License - State of Florida
Education Required:
- Doctorate's in Medical or Doctorate's in Osteopathic Medicine
Preferred:
- Master's in Healthcare Administration
- Master's in Business Administration
Experience Required:
- 10 years Clinical
- 2 years Physician Leadership
Preferred:
- 2 years Executive Leadership
