We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Vice President of Sales to lead our sales organization and drive the execution of a robust growth strategy. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales leadership, a proven track record of achieving revenue targets, and the ability to collaborate effectively with marketing and product teams. This role will play a pivotal part in refining our sales strategy, expanding market share, and contributing to product diversification efforts. The VPS will also have the potential to grow into broader responsibilities, including oversight of marketing and product development as CorneaGen continues to innovate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership : Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with CorneaGen’s organizational goals, focusing on revenue growth, market penetration, and customer retention.
- Sales Strategy Execution : Lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans, including customer segmentation, territory planning, and competitive analysis, to drive revenue and achieve sales targets.
- Partnership with Marketing and Product Teams : Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure sales strategies are aligned with product launches, marketing campaigns, and customer feedback. Provide insights that contribute to product innovation and market differentiation.
- Customer Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, resolving issues, and ensuring long-term satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaboration with Clinical/Technical Teams : Partner closely with clinical and technical teams to share client feedback, concerns, and praise. Work together to develop solutions for any issues experienced by clients, and proactively address potential challenges to improve clinical outcomes, surgeon experience, and patient care.
- Team Development : Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide supervision, professional development, and performance evaluations.
- Sales Training Program Development : Develop and execute comprehensive training program for new sales personnel, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed in their roles. Implement ongoing training initiatives for existing sales staff, focusing on skill enhancement, product knowledge, and adapting to market changes. Regularly assess training effectiveness and update programs as needed to align with strategic objectives.
- Market Expansion and Product Diversification : Identify and pursue opportunities to expand CorneaGen’s presence, with a focus on growing market share. Drive efforts to diversify CorneaGen’s product offerings by collaborating with product teams and identifying new market opportunities.
- CRM Optimization and Data-Driven Decision Making : Lead the transformation of CorneaGen’s CRM tools, ensuring they become integral to sales operations and strategic planning. Utilize CRM tools and data analytics to guide strategic decisions, monitor performance metrics, and optimize sales operations in alignment with the company’s goals.
- Client Onboarding and Consultation : Establish and oversee processes for identifying, onboarding, and consulting with new customers. Develop and refine the surgeon onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration and satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring : Create, monitor, and achieve assigned sales targets. Prepare and present statistical and performance reports to senior management, providing actionable insights and recommendations that align with strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Product Innovation and Market Feedback : Make actionable and insightful recommendations for new products, extensions, or enhancements based on market trends and client feedback.
- Revenue Management : Partner with the marketing and finance teams to determine pricing strategies, establish budgets and forecasts, and manage the market mix to optimize revenue and profitability. Ensure revenue management strategies align with the organization’s overall financial objectives.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience : Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a sales leadership role with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and leading successful sales teams.
- Sales Expertise : Strong background in sales strategy, customer relationship management, and market expansion, with experience in the healthcare or life sciences industry preferred.
- Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to mentor and develop sales talent, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Collaborative Mindset : Experience in partnering with marketing, product, and clinical/technical teams to achieve shared goals, resolve client issues, and drive product innovation. Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
- Strategic Thinking : Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans, with a keen eye for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities. Experience in aligning sales objectives with organizational strategy through active participation in strategic planning and forecasting.
- Innovative Approach : Passion for innovation and a forward-thinking approach to sales and market development. Ability to make data-driven decisions and leverage technology (e.g., CRM, Power BI) to optimize sales processes.
- Client-Focused : Demonstrates a deep understanding of client needs and the ability to provide strategic consulting to resolve business and surgical issues.
- Mission-Driven: Demonstrates passion for the Mission and Values of CorneaGen, including personal support of organ and tissue donation.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the MS Office suite and other relevant sales tools.

What compensation and benefits do you offer?
The minimum salary for this position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary is $200,000 annually. Individual compensation will vary within this range based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience as they relate to the requirements for this position. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, dependent upon company and individual performance.

What else should I know about this position?
This position is based out of our Seattle office and works a hybrid schedule with at least two days in-person and the remaining days available to work at home/remotely.
