We are Brandon, a boys’ Nonprofit Residential School providing exceptional stabilization, assessment, educational, residential, clinical, and case management services. We help boys aged 7-18 years old to know their past does not determine their future.
Job Summary:
In coordination with the Director of Education, responsible for the overall management, coordination, and supervision of the Day Program both in the school and for CTR youth who are back at the residence during school hours. Ensure the provision of the highest quality of service to the clients by creating an environment that is safe, respectful, and positive for all. Provide leadership to staff in the use of sensory integration, behavioral analysis, and programming to create group and individual behavior plans. Provide leadership and training to staff in order to carry out the mission of Brandon’s overarching clinical model.
- Responsibilities:
- Aid in the development and oversight of the day program in the school and residence for CTR youth who are not in school during day hours.
- Facilitate weekly department meetings.
- Provide and update payroll information for employees in our payroll system.
- Participate with the education director in the hiring process and any disciplinary proceedings.
- Foster the professional growth of your team by continuing to set goals and helping them reach those goals.
- Effectively manage client/activity expenses, facility upkeep, and program supplies, within the limits of the site budget.
- Help develop and design training and in-service needs for new as well as experienced staff.
- Aid in the development of job descriptions by clearly defining responsibilities and expectations.
- Evaluate assigned staff on performance, and identify and address the training needs of site staff.
- Manage all behavioral aspects of the program to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Provide leadership, support, and supervision to your team.
- Communicate effectively and accurately all program needs through the appropriate procedures.
- Communicate and document all relevant client information clearly and concisely using the appropriate systems and ensure that day staff do the same.
- Implement individual treatment plans for clients assigned to your site by collecting and analyzing behavioral data while using clinical and practical knowledge and best practices.
- Serve as on-call manager Monday-Friday during holidays and vacations.
- Collaborate and communicate with directors across departments and in leadership teams in order to carry out Brandon’s mission.
- Comply at all times with federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements.
- Follow all established policies and procedures with outside agencies regarding runaways, physical interventions, medical emergencies, and all other critical incidents.
- Follow all Brandon policies and procedures and initiate new systems through the appropriate process.
- Manage scheduling and requested time off minimizing the use of overtime.
- Manage snow day, holiday, and vacation coverage by assigning day staff to appropriate houses and providing training to staff regarding appropriate procedures and protocol.
- Represent the agency in a highly professional manner.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of experience with a similar population
- 2 years of supervisory experience preferred
- Valid ID for DEEC background check
