We are actively hiring an Operational Language Analyst - Somali, Level 2 to join our Defense and Homeland Security Division working in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, the Operational Language Analyst performs tasks required to process voice and/or graphic language materials in support of SIGINT Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translating and/or transcribing complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material.
- Gisting complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material.
- Scanning and sorting/categorizing foreign language materials.
- Performing quality control review of translations and/or transcripts of complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken material.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Associate of Arts (AA)/Associate of Science (AS) degree or equivalent.
- Performance at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 3 in audio translation and/or text translation from the required language into idiomatic, standard American English or 3 in listening and/or reading on the DLPT.
- Equivalent of four (4) years full-time experience performing language processing in the required language(s). In lieu of the Associate’s Degree an additional two (2) years of directly related, applied, practical work experience may be substituted. For no more than one (1) year of the required four (4) years, Reporting shall be the primary duty. Two (2) of the four (4) years experience shall be within four (4) years of resume submission for work on the Contract.
Pay Range
There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $150,000.00 - $165,000.00.
