Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist Needed - Brooklyn, NY
Position: Full-time
Community teaching hospital in Brooklyn, New York is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist to work on its inpatient behavioral health unit. The psychiatrist will have an average patient load of 10-12 patients and will perform evaluations, medication management, risk assessments, and develop treatment plans. The patient base consists of an adult underserved population presenting with various mental health and dual diagnosis issues, including low socioeconomic status and MICA patients.
The hospital offers a continuum of care which includes acute, medical, surgical, gynecological, pediatric, and psychiatric inpatient, outpatient care, emergency services, and patient-focused education and prevention services in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. The Behavioral Health department consists of 3 inpatient units with 30 beds per unit, with an average length of stay of 14-20 days.
Work schedule is Monday-Friday with voluntary call available, which pays above the regular salary. A full hospital benefits package is included.
