Job Description
The position was mainly established for the purpose of supporting the Offshore Projects of Asso Group. In general, the Project Engineer manages the execution phase of the projects, both at the office and offshore. It is required to combine technical knowledge and common sense in order to provide assistance and support to the teams both onshore and offshore.
The candidate will participate in offshore projects on a rotation basis which will include:
- Daily project reports
- Site memos
- Method statements
- Meetings with clients
- Overall offshore project monitoring
Responsibilities
- Prepare project documentation in compliance with Employer’s requirements and contract such as:
- Project Execution plans
- Method Statements, etc.
- Facilitate effective communication with the project team
- Provide all required information to other engineering departments to produce the necessary documentation such as:
- Geotechnical docs (Burial assessment study, etc.)
- Cable Installation Analysis, etc.
- Review engineering studies and documentation prepared from other departments according to project objectives
- Participate in internal meetings and liaison with other departments
- Maintain daily diary and action tracker for effective project progress monitoring
- Build-up project documentation according to project goals
- Liaison with client
- Liaison with and manage subcontractors if needed
- Participation in meetings with the Client. Adapt information and comments derived from the meetings and accordingly study, review and prepare/update project documentation
- Participation in Kick-off Meetings
- HAZID/HAZOP meetings during project execution
- Provide project documentation in adherence to RQHSE standards
- Join offshore team for project execution in rotations
- Preparation and/or monitoring of Daily Progress Reports (DPR)
- Receive and review logbook notes and comments
- Participation in Vessel onboard meetings
- Preparation of Minutes of Meetings
- Close communication with Client Representatives
- Project monitoring on board the vessel (as per internal planning and request)
- Daily communication with onshore project team
- Constant communication with Offshore Manager & Marine Superintendents
- Constant communication with HSE advisor
- Close cooperation with onboard survey team
- Review survey data and project results on a daily basis
- Support in Vessel HSE reports with technical information
- Preparation of Management Of Change (MOC)
- Preparation of Field Reports
- Prepare and finalize As-built documentation
- Ensure that all project documentation is properly filled in company’s internal documentation management system
- Adhere to all compliance and auditing requirements for the conduct of ethical and transparent operations including compliance with all ASSO Group policies, guidelines and procedures
- Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and compliance with all audits and inspections
Requirements
Education & Training
- A higher university degree in Engineering
- Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project Scheduling and CAD software required
- Additional working knowledge of other foreign languages (e.g. Italian, German, French etc.) are not prerequisite but are to be considered as extra skills
- Additional working knowledge of further engineering software such as Orcaflex, GIS are not prerequisite but are to be considered as extra skills
