Psychiatrists needed for Residential Recovery centers in Metro Tennessee! They provide in and outpatient treatments. This is a Monday to Friday position with salary and malpractice coverage reimbursement. Salary will be based on experience (competitive, client will discuss numbers) and includes an incentive plan. The work environment is very collegiate, with plans for growth and promotional positions.
The client is looking for physicians to help usher patients from the disease of addiction into long-term successful recovery. These sites provide evidence-based, integrated treatment and patient-centered care. Per the client, "We treat the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. We address both substance use and underlying mental health conditions, preparing individuals for a sustainable life in recovery. We specialize in a Dual Diagnosis treatment approach and have been cited as the 'gold standard' in the behavioral health industry, classified in the top 5% of treatment programs."
LOOKING FOR:
Licensed physician with a specialty in psychiatry.
ASAM Certification Preferred.
Expertise treating patients with mental illness and chemical dependence.
Board eligible or Board certified.
DUTIES/EXPECTATIONS:
- Provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment services:
Performs routine and psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacologic treatment of patients at admission and ongoing, completing documentation of all evaluations and treatment visits on the day of the session and according to FRN documentation requirements.
Ensures timely meetings with patients and timely documentation of related notes.
Practices according to industry standards for psychopharmacologic treatment.
Communicates with attending physicians, psychiatrists, etc., regarding the status and treatment of the patient.
Provides consultation on matters regarding medical care, standards of care, and surveillance. - Performs responsibilities according to clinical and timeliness guidelines, and assimilates and applies performance feedback as directed by the Medical Director:
Meets quality expectations of accuracy, completeness, and is responsive to feedback.
Meets timeliness expectations of completing work as scheduled, demonstrating self-paced performance and adjusting priorities as needed.
Professionally and ethically relates to patients and peers at all times.
Participates in weekly staff and clinical meetings.
Alternates after-hour on-call schedule.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Considerable knowledge of contemporary treatment approaches to integrated care.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of addiction, MI, and related issues.
- Knowledge of philosophies, practices, policies, and outcomes of models of treatment, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for co-occurring mental and substance use disorders.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues and ability to incorporate the needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice settings.
- Be in good standing with the licensing board.
- Current malpractice insurance required.
