The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announces an examination process to create an eligibility list to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Medical Director in the Federally Qualified Health Center. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to four (4) months.
We participate in the HRSA Loan Repayment Programs.
Responsible for planning, directing, and managing assigned medical staff providing primary care services in District facilities; consults and participates in complex patient care situations; incumbent will have direct patient care responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
- Medical Doctorate or Osteopathic Medicine Doctorate degree AND
- Four (4) years of professional experience as a practicing physician, two (2) years of which were in a supervisory role OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- FQHC experience preferred.
Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation.
- Nevada Driver’s License.
- Licensure as a physician in the State of Nevada.
- Incident Command System training, ICS 100, ICS 200 and NIMS within six (6) months of date of hire.
