Operating Room (OR) EVS Terminal Cleaner / EVS / FT / 6pm – 3:30 am / M, T, TH, Fr
Under the supervision of the EVS Director, the Environment OR Terminal Clean Attendant is responsible for the terminal cleaning of the OR Suites, which includes mopping and/or wet vacuuming of floors, cleaning of anesthesia carts and equipment, patient monitors, OR beds, reusable table straps, OR bed attachments, positioning devices, patient transfer devices, overhead procedures lights, tables and mayo stands, mobile and fixed equipment, storage cabinets, supply carts and furniture, light switches, door handles and push plates, telephone and mobile communication devices, computer accessories, chairs, stools and step stools, and trash and linen receptacles. This individual performs various routine cleaning functions and assignments as directed by the EVS Lead or Director. The OR EVS Terminal Clean Attendant maintains the hospital in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition based on the EVS standards in the EVS Policy and Procedure Manual.
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school education or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Hospital experience is preferred but not necessary.
- Ability to follow established EVS Policies and Procedures in performing daily tasks.
- Possess the ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks, which may include cleaning patient rooms, offices, and restrooms, providing floor care, porter linens, and trash throughout the hospital, and detail cleaning.
- Must be able to keep all equipment in good working condition.
- Possess the ability to perform periodic or situational duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Must be able to write and understand the English language.
