UNC Health Specialty Care at Chatham Park in Pittsboro, NC is hiring a Neurologist (MD/DO)!
UNC Health Specialty Care at Chatham Park will provide expert care and consultation for both adults and children. It is a community-based specialty practice that provides comprehensive care. Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and Cardiology are also part of the practice.
Services:
- General neurology
- Consultations and physical exams
- Infusion (IV) therapy
- Skin, muscle, and nerve samples (biopsies)
- Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections (migraine treatment)
- Clot-buster medication for stroke
- Lumbar punctures
- Electroencephalography
- Electromyography
Conditions:
- Stroke and Cerebrovascular (brain/blood vessel) diseases
- Movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease
- Neurodegenerative disorders and dementia
- Nerve pain that causes pain, numbness, and weakness (neuropathy)
- Headaches
- Seizures
- Epilepsy
- Sleep disorders
- Multiple sclerosis
- Memory and cognitive disorders
Practice Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
Job Qualifications:
- Graduation from accredited school of medicine (MD/DO)
- BE/BC Neurology
- NC State License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred
- FCVS profile preferred for those without NC license but not required
- Previous experience required
