Skills and Qualifications:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
- Active, or ability to obtain, Texas license in good standing to practice.
- Experience as either an Emergency Veterinarian or a Veterinarian with Board Certification in medical oncology, emergency & critical care, surgery, radiology, or internal medicine (DACVIM-O, DACVECC, DACVS, DACVR, or DACVIM-SAIM).
- At least 2+ years of clinical, scientific, or industry experience ideally in a high-volume environment, preferably in a large, multi-specialty or multi-location practice.
- Professional and excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, diplomatic attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Innovative thinker who challenges the status quo and focuses on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable the CTVSEH veterinarian team.
- Plan and direct the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and control of essential medical services.
- Advise on policies and procedures for “best practice” clinical operations and efficient use of staff.
- Accountable for the exemplary delivery of all clinical services to ensure an optimum client experience without compromising profitability.
- Responsible for strategic clinical relationships with the referring veterinary community.
- Oversee client medical issues.
- Provide clinical mentoring and coaching. Supervise staff and monitor training, continuing education, and development of the clinical team (DVMs & techs).
- Evaluate the performance of technical staff members.
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
- Make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of clinical policies and procedures.
- Ensure duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability of subordinates are defined and understood.
- Monitor all aspects of medical quality and report findings to senior management.

- 4-day work week with dedicated admin time allocated for leadership responsibilities
