Positive Overview
The Director of AI Strategy will identify problem fits for AI, lead solutions, explore different models, and drive these solutions through these problems. They will be a strategic thinker and define this capability moving forward for Global Atlantic. This role is highly visible within technology and business leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy LLM driven solutions & machine learning models.
- Work with large-scale data sets, including structured and unstructured data.
- Implement and optimize machine learning algorithms and deep learning models.
- Utilize AWS technologies such as Bedrock and Sagemaker for model training and deployment.
- Experience with fine tuning LLMs to customize these to solution for business problems.
- Experience with operating models on GPU rendered machines.
- Develop solutions using publicly available AI Transformer libraries (e.g., Hugging Face).
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience working within AI and machine learning.
- Strong proficiency in Python development.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and deep learning toolsets.
- Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Bedrock, Sagemaker).
- Knowledge of AI Transformer libraries (e.g., Hugging Face).
- Ability to develop and deploy solutions using publicly available models.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and understanding (NLU).
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and distributed computing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
