We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to join our team. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in hospitality management, with a keen eye for detail, impeccable customer service skills, and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the front of house team to deliver outstanding service consistently. Provide ongoing training and support to ensure staff are knowledgeable about menu items, wine pairings, service standards, and guest interactions.
- Service Excellence: Oversee all front of house operations to ensure seamless service delivery. Monitor dining room flow, reservations, and guest satisfaction levels, intervening as necessary to address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation in all aspects of service, from table settings to food and beverage service. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Guest Relations: Foster a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere for guests, anticipating their needs and preferences to enhance their dining experience. Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, striving to exceed expectations at every opportunity.
- Financial Management: Work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies for maximizing revenue, controlling costs, and achieving profitability targets. Monitor inventory levels, manage ordering and purchasing processes, and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house operations. Communicate effectively with chefs, sommeliers, and other team members to maintain consistency and quality across all aspects of the dining experience.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement ongoing training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of front of house staff. Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to support career development and progression within the team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Front of House Manager in a Michelin-starred, James Beard-recognized, or Forbes-rated restaurant.
- Extensive knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine service, and food pairing.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with guests and colleagues at all levels.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
