Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine are actively seeking pediatric emergency medicine physicians to join our division. Our team cares for children at Hughes Spalding Hospital and Egleston Hospital, which will transition its Emergency Department team to the new Arthur M. Blank Hospital on Sept. 29, 2024. As a member of our division, you’ll be faculty at Emory University, partnered with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University School of Medicine
- Children’s Emergency Departments are among the busiest in the nation, with more than 81,900 patient visits annually at Egleston, and more than 59,400 visits at Hughes Spalding.
- The Arthur M. Blank Hospital Emergency Department will consist of approximately 70,000 square feet and 69 beds, including rooms for behavioral and mental health and trauma patients.
- Hughes Spalding Emergency Department serves as a regional catchment hospital.
- We serve as the primary pediatric teaching hospital for medical students, residents, and fellows from both Emory University and Morehouse Schools of Medicine.
- We oversee highly competitive fellowship training programs in pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric emergency medicine ultrasound, and pediatric urgent care.
- We are dedicated to hiring a representative workforce, reflecting our commitment to racial and gender diversity.
