Job Description:
TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Tracy, California, is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager (GM) to lead the hotel's operations. The GM will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel’s day-to-day operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue growth, and managing the hotel staff. This leadership role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for hospitality, strong business acumen, and the ability to build and maintain a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and sales.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize room occupancy, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing expenses to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging team development.
- Ensure compliance with all Marriott brand standards, local laws, and safety regulations.
- Analyze performance metrics (e.g., occupancy rates, RevPAR, guest satisfaction scores) and implement initiatives to drive improvement.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies to attract business and leisure travelers.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with guests, vendors, and community partners.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Manager in the hospitality industry, preferably within a Marriott-branded property.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Solid understanding of hotel management software, budgeting, and financial performance analysis.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent service and meet financial goals.
- Experience in sales and marketing strategies to drive hotel occupancy and revenue.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
