I am the Director of Critical Care Advanced Practice Providers for Sound Critical Care in the Richmond Market. I am proud to lead our team of critical care advanced practice providers (APPs) at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, Bon Secours Memorial Regional Hospital, and Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. I've been a part of Sound Critical Care for more than 3 years and I'm proud of the critical care team we have built in Richmond.

People
- We are a closely knit team of critical care APPs working alongside a team of 6 board-certified critical care physicians at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital. Our larger team of 9 critical care APPs and 13 physicians care for our patients across our 3 intensivist programs in Richmond.
- Our APP team is comprised of experienced advanced practice providers with diverse backgrounds in ICU and acute care medicine.
- Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues from various departments and disciplines to ensure that the highest level of care is provided to our patients.
Practice
- Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital is a 391-bed, tertiary care facility located in Richmond's West End and is part of the larger Bon Secours Health System which serves communities in six states.
- Bon Secours St. Mary's is home to multiple centers of excellence including heart failure, hip and knee joint replacement, and primary stroke. The health system is dedicated to serving those in need through ministry and world-class care in every aspect.
- Including, St. Mary's, we cover three facilities including a mixed medical-neuro ICU with 20 beds, a medical ICU with 16 beds, and a mixed medical-cardiovascular surgery ICU with 24 beds.
- We're looking for experienced, board-certified critical care advanced practice providers who are skilled at arterial and central lines, hemodialysis, lumbar punctures chest tube insertion, intubation, endoscopy, EKG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, stress test, and vent management.
- Our APPs practice at the top of their licenses and enjoy a high level of autonomy in their practice.
- We work in EPIC, with access to our own internal informatics platform.
- Our retention rate is high, our APP team is well respected, and we work collaboratively within our team to ensure coverage for time off.
