Head of Growth and Business Development, Innovation Program
Design Tech High School - Redwood City, California - Full time
We are seeking a visionary, experienced, and motivated individual to join Design Tech High School (‘d.tech’) as The Innovation Program Head of Growth and Business Development. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping a new and impactful educational offering from the ground up. The Innovation Program Head of Growth and Business Development will be responsible for developing and executing a go-to-market strategy. This role is part of a growing program in the organization and as such the responsibilities include both developing and implementing.
THE INNOVATION PROGRAMS
Design Tech High School developed The Innovation Programs to expand our impact by enabling high school students who cannot attend Design Tech in person to learn critical creative problem-solving skills. We have two programs:
- The Innovation Diploma enables schools all over the world to teach problem-solving skills and offer their students an unmatched experience alongside the opportunity to earn an extra credential. Design Tech provides the partner schools the curriculum, professional development and coaching for teachers, as well as support in evaluating and assessing work projects.
- The Innovation Certificate is an online learning program designed for individual students and focused on fostering creativity and critical thinking. Students learn in cohorts over two semesters and participate in a 4-week virtual micro-internship. Upon completion, participants receive an Innovation Certificate from d.tech.
Our initial pilots for these programs had overwhelmingly positive feedback from students and partners. We are ready to move from pilots to rapid growth. We’re looking for an entrepreneurial leader to build on this successful start and to scale our programs to high school students across the US and the globe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a strategic plan for launching the program, including identifying the target audience, pricing, and promotional activities;
- Establish and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including educational funders, school partners, and potential internship hosts;
- Implement effective marketing and promotional strategies to drive awareness and enrollment in the program;
- Monitor and evaluate the success of the go-to-market strategy, making data-driven adjustments as necessary;
- Develop and implement comprehensive growth strategies to increase enrollment and engagement in both the Innovation Certificate and Diploma Programs;
- Collaborate with program directors to refine and enhance curriculum offerings based on market needs and participant feedback;
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation to optimize program success.
The mission of Design Tech High School is to develop people who believe that the world can be a better place and that they can be a part of making it happen. Design Tech School prepares students to impact the world positively.
