Job Opportunity: AI Data Engineer (m/f/d)
We are looking for you as a Computer Scientist / Business Information Scientist (m/f/d) to support our E-Mobility & AI product management team for our subsidiary Scheidt & Bachmann Energy Retail Solutions GmbH at the Mönchengladbach site.
The business division Energy Retail Solutions is the market leader for point-of-sale solutions and energy retail management systems in medium-sized and large filling station and EV charging networks. Your Tasks:
As an AI Data Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in managing the company's data infrastructure. You will work with both structured and unstructured data and ensure its availability, quality, and security.
- Data Management: You will be our driving force in managing the data infrastructure, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data.
- Database Design: You design and improve our databases (SQL, NoSQL, Indey, and Vector DB) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Monitoring: You will monitor our data pipelines to ensure large volumes of data can be processed and scaled as required.
- Data Quality: You will manage data quality and develop mechanisms for data validation, cleansing, and error handling.
- Cloud Platforms: You will use cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing.
- Collaboration: You are in close contact with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders (m/f/d) to understand data requirements.
What You Bring:
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, data science, or a comparable technical degree.
- First professional experience in advanced AI data analytics and cloud infrastructure.
- Knowledge of real-time data flows.
- Basic knowledge of agile software development approaches (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with AWS and machine learning is desirable.
- Very good knowledge of German and English; further foreign language skills are advantageous.
- Work permit/work authorization for Germany.
- Technical understanding, an agile way of thinking and working, with communication and presentation skills, and a willingness to learn and improve.
