About the job
This position is needed to lead and accelerate the growth of Twilio’s Vertical Markets across our Healthcare and Financial Services teams, reporting to our SVP North America and partnering with senior leaders across the company. We are seeking a leader who will own and execute on the vision, strategy, and day-to-day tactics that we employ to grow. The ideal leader thinks big and is comfortable operating across functional lines to identify and execute on new growth opportunities through direct selling, partner development, business development, strategic partnerships, and marketing. This leader is both a mentor and a coach, and is a great evangelist for Twilio as we continue to scale our vertical strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop, drive, and communicate our Healthcare and Financial Services sales strategy, results, and opportunities to peers and senior executives.
- Own and drive top & bottom line for one of our highest growth segments.
- Recruit, motivate and retain a diverse, high-performing sales team to deliver revenue growth targets.
- Lead the development of a repeatable and scalable customer acquisition and client success methodology.
- Continue to cultivate trusted-advisor relationships with our customers and prospects at all levels (developer to c-suite).
- Collaborate with your team, as well as partner with other internal sales, marketing and product teams, to support global sales opportunities.
- Identify and drive internal operational efficiencies to continue to scale this division as well as our holistic Vertical strategy.
- Run a disciplined forecast, consistently overachieve on goals, and present guidance to executive management.

Required:
- 15 years of technology sales experience and 5 years in a leadership capacity where you have built and/or scaled a team of 50 and a business beyond $100M.
- Proven track record of driving ambitious sales and GTM results for technical solutions and expanding enterprise customer relationships to new departments and c-suite.
- SaaS, IaaS, PaaS or consumption based technology experience where customer relationships are dependent on technical performance.
- Data-driven methodology and quantitative analytical skills, including pipeline management and forecasting, for a fast-growing business.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong, lasting relationships with clients, external partners, and internal cross-functional teams at all levels, as well as influence their thinking and understanding.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that is experiencing significant scale.
Desired:
- Experience selling technical solutions to highly-regulated industries, ideally across healthcare and financial services.
- Experience working across the **** ,000 base.
Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
