The Orlando Health Cancer Institute Center for Advanced Therapy is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join our team. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of cancer patients in Central Florida while working in a state-of-the-art oncology program. Applicants must have successfully completed an ACGME accredited radiation oncology program and be ABR board-certified or board eligible. The successful candidate is expected to have good interpersonal skills, must be skilled in modern radiation oncology practice, and have the aptitude to work within a strong multidisciplinary team. This position will provide comprehensive clinical coverage at our main center in downtown Orlando and at one of our regional care centers.
The Orlando Health Cancer Institute Center for Advanced Therapy treats more than 180 patients per day, at 5 locations across the Orlando area. Our equipment includes 4 matched Varian TrueBeams, Varian Edge, Varian IX, Elekta Synergy, ViewRay MRIdian, Mevion S250 proton therapy system, Nucletron HDR, 6 CT simulators, and a recently installed Varian Ethos system. Treatment planning for all centers is performed using Full-Scale Eclipse/ARIA deployed through Citrix.
Our practice currently has 11 Radiation Oncologists across all 5 of our locations. The physicians work alongside a talented medical physics team that includes 8.5 photon-clinic physicists, 2.5 proton-clinic physicists, 2 therapy physics residents, 11 Medical Dosimetrists, 2 medical physics assistants, and a medical physics research fellow. Our program is currently experiencing significant growth with physical expansion opportunities across the Central Florida area.
