Position Overview: As a Psychiatrist at Priority Group Services, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive psychiatric care to children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Responsibilities:
- Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents.
- Formulate accurate psychiatric diagnoses based on clinical evaluations.
- Treatment Planning:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based practices to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
- Medication Management:
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as needed.
- Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on treatment progress.
- Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work closely with therapists, social workers, and other professionals to coordinate care.
- Provide consultation to team members regarding psychiatric aspects of cases.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members through written reports and meetings.
- Crisis Intervention:
- Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
- Provide support during emergency situations.
Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Valid medical license in the state of New Jersey.
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
