Position Summary
The University of Illinois College of Medicine/University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System Department of Radiology seeks candidates for an open-rank faculty position in Diagnostic Radiology (DR).
The Division of Diagnostic Radiology is active in all types of image-guided procedures at University of Illinois Hospital, a 462-licensed bed, tertiary care medical and surgical facility with over 800 active physicians, as well as at the new state-of-the-art ambulatory Specialty Care Building.
The UIC College of Medicine is the country's second largest Medical School and the Department of Radiology is one of the larger residency programs in the Midwest. The Department of Radiology supports an ACGME approved DR residency. Education is also provided to the Diagnostic Radiology residency, which has approximately 32 residents including the Interventional Radiology residents.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Participation in direct patient care;
- Involvement in the formal education of trainees;
- Supervision of residents and medical students;
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have an MD or DO degree and possess a medical license. Qualified applicants will have completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency. Applicants must also be certified (or eligible if a recent graduate) by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) with an ABR specialty certificate in Diagnostic Radiology. Candidates with a history of successful clinical practice development, participation in educational programs are encouraged to apply for this position. Academic rank depends on experience and qualifications.
This appointment is a full-time employment position.
