This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Care Manager to join one of RAAFA's biggest facilities, Karri & Tuart Lodge, and in collaboration with the Residential Aged Care Manager, fellow Clinical Care Manager, and wider RAAFA support network, lead the site in providing the quality of care that RAAFA prides itself on.
This position is key in providing overall leadership and management of onsite clinical and care service delivery, as well as ensuring desired care outcomes are achieved for the 110 residents. This role will also be instrumental in ensuring residents living with dementia are receiving best practice person-centred care.

The Role:
- Be recognised as a key support to the Residential Aged Care Manager in the efficient and effective operations of the aged care facility.
- Provide leadership and support to the multi-disciplinary team in all clinical and care-related activities.
- Management of acute and complex clinical conditions.
- Lead and develop the Registered and Enrolled Nurses to achieve their potential.
- Ensure all service delivery is provided in collaboration with the resident and in a manner that promotes residents' wellbeing.
- Work in partnership with the Quality and Clinical Governance Team to ensure robust systems and processes are in place and practiced complying with Aged Care Accreditation Standards.
- Work with the team to ensure all residents have up-to-date assessments and care plans which reflect their up-to-date needs, choices, and preferences.
About you:
- Developed leadership skills to meet current and future demands of the facility.
- Advanced clinical knowledge and skill preferably in care of the elderly aged care resident.
- Demonstrate a personal approach that promotes a positive team culture, leading to exceptional care and services.
- Ability to problem solve to ensure practices to meet residents’ health and well-being and compliance standards are in place.
- Understanding of the maximisation of care funding.
- Exceptional communication and decision-making skills, with a highly flexible hands-on approach.
- Willingness to provide mentorship, guidance, and on-site education to colleagues in relation to care needs of elderly residents.
Key Requirements:
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Ability to be accountable for care and clinical outcomes.
- Responsible for sharing of out-of-hours on-call coverage.
- Previous management experience and/or significant experience in the aged care industry (or similar setting) is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in recruiting, managing, leading, and mentoring a large team inclusive of clinical and care staff.
- A passion for working in Aged Care and genuine care and respect for older people.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Clinical Governance and meeting Aged Care Accreditation requirements.
- Experience in using an electronic care management system, preferably iCare and the Microsoft Windows suite of tools including Excel.
- Current driver's licence.
