Providence St. Jude Medical Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Board Certified/ Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to join our well-established Neurosurgery practice in Orange County, California. The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in both open cerebrovascular neurosurgery and endovascular neurosurgery and dedicated to providing outstanding patient care. The neurosurgery group has two practice locations in Orange County that conveniently serve patients at our local hospital ministries, St Josephs Hospital in Orange, and St Jude Medical Center, Fullerton which is an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center. Both hospitals are Magnet designated hospitals and draw neurosurgical cases from surrounding institutions. Joining the 4 current neurosurgeons and supported by a team of 7 PAs, the successful candidate can expect their practice to be busy right away given the abundance of patients being referred by 100+ primary care providers in the medical group, and the busy call duties from the hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Perform endovascular neurosurgical procedures including but not limited to aneurysm coiling, mechanical thrombectomy, and embolization of vascular malformations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage neurosurgical conditions requiring endovascular intervention.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurologists, radiologists, intensivists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in on-call rotation at St Jude Medical Center, Fullerton and St Josephs Hospital, Orange.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Neurosurgery with Fellowship training in Endovascular Neurosurgery or equivalent advanced training.
- Experience is preferred though new graduates will be considered.
- Large multidisciplinary and growing group with the highest satisfaction rating in the area.
- 2-year partnership track.
- Position eligible for Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation is between $629,104.00 and $1,106,909.00 per year, reflecting the starting range of total compensation which may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position.
Joining the medical group will allow the new surgeon to practice at two locations: Clinic, ORs, and ASC centrally located at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, and Providence St Josephs Hospital. Orange County is a bustling community with diverse sports and cultural amenities close to the Los Angeles area, with easy access to both the mountains and beaches of Southern California.
