Summary
Your main objective will be to develop computer vision algorithms and implement them in production to enable vision-based intelligence for our state-of-art additive manufacturing (AM) processes. You will be working with a cross-disciplinary team to continuously improve our AM processes to provide our customers with superior parts that meet qualification criteria.
Responsibilities
- Developing computer vision-based inspection tools for industrial Laser Powder-Bed Fusion Systems.
- Implement computer vision model for in-situ and post-situ defect detection, quality assurance, data-driven process modeling, and machine automation.
- Working with process engineers and material scientists to conduct image/video analysis to make data-based decisions.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience developing and implementing computer vision and image processing solutions for real-world applications.
- Proficient in Python and/or C++’s Computer Vision software stack.
- Authorized to work within the U.S. without restrictions or sponsorship now or in the future (U.S. Citizen or lawful Permanent Resident of the U.S.).
- MS (or relevant work experience) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Robotics, or related field.
- Solid knowledge in the fundamentals of image processing and computer vision.
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing clear and maintainable code for production applications.
- Experience with creating data sets and pipelines and applying them to training deep learning-based vision algorithms.
- Experience with Git and version control.
- Experience with Additive Manufacturing methods like Powder Bed Fusion (PBF), Directed Energy Deposition (DED), or Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS).
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup company environment.
