Corporate Vice President of Operations
The Corporate Vice President of Operations is responsible for directing and growing the dialysis business through effective leadership and management of all aspects of customer service, quality patient care, marketing, and responsible financial management. This role supports clinics in South Texas, New Orleans, and Hammond, LA and practices cost containment strategies while maintaining profitability and growth and ensuring compliance with applicable company and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
- Upholds and promotes the mission and core values of the Company.
- Provides strategic leadership, fosters a culture of continual improvement, supports employee growth and succession planning, and creates an atmosphere of engagement, congeniality, accountability and respect.
- Ensures Company strategy is translated into initiatives that achieve Company objectives.
- Partners with senior leadership and other stakeholders to support the highest quality patient care.
- Conducts financial and quality performance reviews with partners to identify gaps in performance and creates action plans in areas where improvement is needed.
- Understands dialysis markets and develops market strategies for increasing growth across different modalities and business models.
- Oversees risk management in assigned areas, including safe and sanitary physical environments in centers and survey readiness.
- Assists regional and group leadership with the development, implementation and management of company initiatives and strategies.
Supervisory Responsibility
The Vice President evaluates and enhances the way department and/or clinic leaders provide management to their team(s), as applicable. The Vice President is accountable for the performance management, annual increases, employment actions, and budgetary decisions that take place within the assigned area.
Position Type, Expected Hours of Work & Travel
This is a Full-Time position supporting healthcare facilities which are open based on patient and operational needs. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which may vary for clinical support and business/operational needs. Work during holidays, inclement weather and emergency situations will be required. This position requires travel up to 50% of the time. Frequently, travel is outside the local area and overnight.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business-related field; masters preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing in the healthcare field required; dialysis experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with clients and fellow employees.
- Strong leadership skills.
