What you will do:
As our Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership of the programming department including the development of staff and budget, the implementation of best practices, and the delivery of results in the areas of technical performance, quality, financial, and customer satisfaction. This position works in our Vacaville, CA location.
The job:
Every day, your primary role will be leading, directing and developing the programming team by establishing goals and objectives, creating schedules and prioritizing work, as well as providing opportunities for training and development. You will define, implement, and continuously improve standards in areas of PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and databases and reporting. You will review project programming work to ensure accuracy and adequacy of design and conformance to standards. You will also work with your team to maintain professional and technical knowledge and introduce new concepts and opportunities to the organization. You will ensure customer expectations are met and work is completed on time.
The skills you need:
To succeed in this role, you must have experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming. You must be able to lead a group of people, manage a budget, and exhibit exceptional communication skills. A 4-year degree and 5 years of experience is preferred.
