Head of Sales (East Coast) Automotive Inspection Services (B2B)

Chronos Consulting’s client is a multinational providing operational quality management solutions for the Automotive sector, with activities ranging from inspection to expert auditing, consulting, and training. This is a newly created position; we are seeking a Sales Director with a primary focus on the East Coast US and Canada. This is a home-based role with travel to client sites as required, and at least 1 day per week based in the office.
The Role:
- Managing, coaching, mentoring seasoned regional sales managers (team of 5 -7).
- Travelling and working with leaders in the organization to identify long-term sustainable solutions to common sales obstacles.
- Implementing a sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, profitability goals, and marketing growth objectives.
- Building, managing, and maintaining an opportunity pipeline to meet new business targets.
- Monitoring KPIs for analysis and predictability of the sales business and creating programs and processes aimed at capturing and retaining clients.
- Recommending pricing strategies and guidelines.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to prepare email campaigns promoting services specific to each service and sales region.
- Driving sales training and development programs.
- Planning and controlling budget and expenditures.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1 or 2), preferably in 3rd party inspection/containment services or within a quality department.
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience in leading and growing a sales team in a B2B environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to build consensus and influence across levels within the organization.
- Proven ability to achieve sales results in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Demonstrated people management capabilities, including coaching and performance management to drive high levels of employee engagement and recruit and retain high-level sales performers.
- Ability to multi-task is critical; must have organizational skills and be able to meet deadlines.
- Passion for understanding the business and a well-informed thought-leader.
- Diplomatically and thoughtfully deliver results and outcomes to customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Availability to travel as needed (1 day a week in office).
