Come and join this elite Facilities Team… The Executive Director of Construction, Facilities and Plant report to the Chief Operating Officer for the health care system. This leader plans, develops and directs the activities of the departments or divisions. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring department and division projects and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of organizational goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Require a Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline. Relevant work experience in directing healthcare system master planning, engineering/facility operations, and/or construction can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required degree.
- Require a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in directing healthcare system master planning and/or construction.
- Require Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) accreditation, or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of contractual relationships between owner, contractor, and architect, and ability to direct outside consultants in design, construction or renovation related activities.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of the full scope of architectural services including compliance and field administration.
- Prefer excellent oral and written communication skills, including graphics/presentation development and presenting skills.
- Prefer understanding of regulatory agencies, requirements, and standards overseeing hospital, business, and ambulatory facilities applicable to responsibilities.
- Prefer knowledge of plant management, including systems and equipment; preventive and corrective maintenance; and emergency systems including power generation.
- Prefer demonstrated understanding of project planning, development and management skills, including cost accounting, projects cost analysis and work scheduling principles.
