We're seeking a future team member in the role of Managing Director, AML/Prevention/KYC to join our Client Onboarding ENT Platform. This role is located in New York City.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead and drive Transformation and Operational strategic, efficiency, and innovation initiatives across the organization.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on Bank Secrecy Act/ Anti Money Laundering (BSA/AML) regulations, KYC, and account opening policies and procedures.
- Be well-versed in KYC compliance requirements and have a strong background in compliance, risk, and controls in connection with financial institutions to adapt policies and procedures to risks of new products and services offered.
- Partner closely with Technology to set vision and drive efforts to enhance and innovate the technology platforms across the COE using a data-driven approach.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelors' degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
- 15 plus years Operations Leadership Roles and AML functions with at least 5+ years in management preferred.
- Experience in working in partnership with Operations management with a proven track record supporting large teams across multiple global locations.
- Proven experience in effective leadership and ability to manage and effectively implement constant change.
- Strong ability to build relationships with and influence colleagues, business leaders and functional partners.
- Confident communicator with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal and written updates.
- Solid KYC industry experience with understanding of standards implemented in industry and well networked with industry peers.
- Be a highly motivated individual with advanced strategy, problem solving, and transformation as well as strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven track record driving innovation and transformation initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency across operational functions.
- Capable of playing multiple roles crossing into Strategy, Product, and Operations functions as required.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $400,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
