Northwell Health is recruiting a full-time BE/BC Inpatient Psychiatrist to join the Behavioral Health Hospitalist team at Staten Island University Hospital. The ideal candidate should be energetic, innovative and enjoy working in a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This position has the possibility of being converted to a leadership opportunity for a qualified candidate.
Staten Island University Hospital’s Department of Behavioral Health Sciences provides comprehensive psychiatric care in a private, patient-centered environment. With over 1,450 discharges per year, it is considered to be one of the most active comprehensive mental health centers on Staten Island.
Our 35-bed inpatient unit provides short-term hospital care to evaluate and stabilize patients with acute psychiatric disorders. There is a strong focus on returning patients to normal functioning as soon as possible while rebuilding self-esteem and improving socialization.
As part of Northwell Health, Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching institution located in New York City’s fastest-growing borough. Occupying two large campuses, plus a number of community-based health centers and labs, the hospital provides quality care to the people of Staten Island, the New York metropolitan region, and to patients from around the world.
