SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:
The General Manager of Cannabis Distribution oversees daily operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and profitable management. Responsibilities include logistics, supply chain, inventory control, and distribution to retail outlets, while adhering to all regulations. They manage teams, coordinate with suppliers and retailers, and drive strategic growth, maintaining compliance and safety standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement Distribution schedules.
- Manage and supervise staff.
- Maintain detailed records of all activities.
- Oversee all distribution center operations, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery to retail partners.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with cannabis regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to meet demand while optimizing costs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop distribution teams, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure a secure and compliant environment for employees and products.
- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, product quality, and customer service.
- Collaborate with leadership to establish and meet financial targets and growth objectives.
- Stay informed of cannabis industry trends and regulatory updates to adapt strategies and maintain compliance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma / GED
- A valid State issued Driver’s License
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 3-5 years of management experience
- Willingness and flexibility to be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain strict standards of confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and/or training in de-escalation and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage departmental budget and control labor costs
- Knowledge of customer marijuana policies, law, compliance, and regulations

- Ability to solve problems in a timely manner and deal with a variety of variables to arrive at solutions when no defined set of guidelines may exist

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

TRIBAL PREFERENCE:

Second, after preference is provided to enrolled Tribal Members, Native Americans who are enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe other than Island Pezi Indian Community shall be provided preference over equally qualified non-Indian candidates; however, if the non-Indian candidate is more qualified, a business decision may be made to hire or promote the best candidate. If more than one person at the same preference level meets the Minimum Qualifications, the decision-makers shall have discretionary authority to make the appropriate business decision in the best interest of the Tribe. INDIAN PREFERENCE STATEMENT:
