The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Engineer to lead a team of test engineers and create strategic plans for quality and test engineering processes, reporting, and metrics.
This role will support our Long-Term Care business in delivering solutions that enhance seamless and engaging experiences for our customers, producers, and employees, by leveraging digital platforms and solutions.
Office locations: Boston-USA (ideally) or Toronto-Canada or Waterloo-Canada
Work Arrangement: role requires to be Hybrid - 3 days in Office, 2 days from Home
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Quality and Test Engineering Strategy aligned with our QA transformation roadmap.
- Lead a team of Quality Engineers to drive use of best practices and adherence of end-to-end test engineering processes, career coaching, and direction to cultivate high-performing teams.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders, IT leadership, development teams, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and priorities.
- Build strong relationships and partnerships across the organization to drive adoption of emerging QE capabilities, best practices, and innovative solutions.
- Define key quality metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of QA processes and identify and implement areas for improvement.
- Lead and actively participate in agile leadership ceremonies to effectively plan and execute work.
- Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, including the development and maintenance of automated tests using frameworks and technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber, K6, TestNG, REST Assured, Appium, WebDriverIO, and tools or frameworks.
- 7+ years’ experience in a senior-level QA role, with a focus on leading QA transformation initiatives.
- Experience in at least one Programming Language such as C#, Java, Go, JavaScript, .NET, Node.js/React, or Python.
- Competence with Cloud Computing, e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS, Salesforce.
- Expertise in testing APIs, i.e., REST, GraphQL and network connectivity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of driving results and delivering business impact.
Nice to have Qualifications:
- Experience in implementing quality management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
- Demonstrated experience in defining and measuring key quality metrics and driving performance improvements.
- Experience in coding and/or testing Artificial Intelligence capabilities is advantageous.

Salary range is expected to be between: $102,200.00 USD - $189,800.00 USD
