Summary
Manager responsible for the operations & distribution pertaining to the food warehouse functions (receiving, delivery, fulfillment, inventory, picking, etc.). Serves as a leader and culture changer putting process & policy in place and while holding warehouse staff and direct reports accountable for meeting and exceeding job responsibilities. Leads the warehouse team meetings and attends meetings on behalf of the warehouse senior manager at other departmental business meetings as necessary. Manages all aspects of warehouse daily operations including operational metrics (delivery time accuracy, fulfillment metrics, order accuracy, etc.), quality assurance, housekeeping/cleanliness, safety, team member satisfaction, inventory control, logistics, facility maintenance and supply chain requirements to effectively & efficiently supply the park & CW food units. Effectively handles & resolves customer service concerns & complaints (theme park & Citywalk food operating units) with verbal and/or written email follow up. Develop & administer new SOPs, policies & procedures to improve processes and spearheads all training of new team members in job duties. Holds team members accountable based on policies & procedures. Participates in and resolves team member HR & TSAT issues. Develops metrics and accountabilities for team reporting to Manager to constantly improve operations to meet departmental goals. Independently manages night & day shifts. Provides coverage for rest of management team when needed creating a one team culture.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for accurate & efficient receiving of all food and beverage product to warehouse.
- Responsible for the efficient & accurate shipping, stocking, and rotation of food product to the venues.
- Carries out managerial responsibilities working independently with HR partners in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures to hold team members accountable.
- Works independently with HR partners to resolve scheduling, payroll, and any employee related issues.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; assisting with performance appraisals; recommending rewards, assisting in disciplinary action, addressing complaints and resolving problems when possible.
- Confers with Assistant Manager(s) daily to ensure that operational procedures are followed for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current.
- Manage warehouse labor budget to hit financial targets and participate in the development of annual operating budgets and latest estimates.
- Participate in Labor Relation related union meetings.
- Partners with Quality Assurance team to ensure that temp logs, QA procedures & policies are being upheld in the food warehouse.
- Partner with Inventory Control Manager to ensure all inventory accuracy practices are followed by team members and collaborate on best practices to ensure the highest level of inventory accuracy.
- Interfaces and communicates daily with sourcing department and operations groups regarding service/delivery are efficient and product shortages are minimized.
- Ensures safety procedures are followed and participates in planning personnel safety, training and plant protection activities working directly with EHS partners.
- Partners with labor relations group to provide solutions in union related weekly meetings to address any concerns before they become issues.
- Maintains facility in a clean and organized manner at all times and leads by conducting daily walk-thru/inspections. Stores product according to established standards.
- Maintains all Powered Industrial Equipment by submitting repair requests; then proactively follows up on any equipment repairs, and ensures that vehicle inspections for all warehouse equipment are completed & filed daily.
- Participates in the development of employee training programs and the monitoring of results of training.
- Support the creation of a cohesive team while demonstrating organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Responsible for employee schedules working with workforce planning team, payroll and counseling with HR team.
- Acts as a safety role model for the team and develops & reinforces a safe working environment to reduce accidents & injuries in the FDC.
- Is responsible for proper time keeping & scheduling of the team members.
- Creates development & goal setting plans for assistant managers, supervisors, leads & clerical roles reporting to Manager with metrics, tools, resources, policies and trackable accountability.
- Participates in FDC projects & departmental management meetings as needed.
- Reports out on weekly basis financial & company metrics (labor, COGS, waste, I&I, etc.) to keep team on track for annual goals.
- Provides effective “one team” positive partnership with peers in the park & CW food operations, culinary, sourcing & shared services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving & inventory control with 3-5 years of managerial experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be available to work on night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walking/traveling to multiple venues throughout the day.
- Ability to independently create professional SOPs, job aides and create written policies & procedures.

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
