SPECIFIC KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Business Results:
- Create a safe working environment through the development and execution of the plants Environmental Health and Safety 3 Year Strategic Plan. Ensure the plant is in compliance to all EHS local regulatory and corporate standards.
- Ensure continual development of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) programs that satisfy Health Canada and FDA OTC, China NMPA and any other relevant compliance and drug licensing guidelines. Provide leadership, focus and direction with regards to the plant being “FDA Ready.”
- Develop a culture and an environment through the PPS which executes effectively Lean Sigma, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence techniques that will deliver transformational and “best in class” results in the areas of Employee Relations, Safety, Quality, COGS, Customer Service and Plant Operating Costs.
- Develop and Drive positive cultural change in manufacturing operations via clear Operational Master Plan (OMP) and operations performance improvement initiatives to meet and exceed goals on the relevant KPI’s, including:
- Create a world class Safety environment: Execute Safety Plan and Plant TIR Targets.
- Labor and Productivity Targets; Rate, Mix and DLE: Bath Cycle Time; OEE.
- Material (Scrap), and Overhead Spending and other Cost of Production standards and targets.
- Quality targets; Manage Quality Systems to meet FDA / OTC, China NMPA, and Health Canada cGMP compliance. Mass Right First time, Finished Goods Right First Time and Level 3-5 Quality issues.
- Lean and CI Savings; Value realization, Labor Productivity Givebacks: Material Savings.
- Customer Service Targets: Fill Rate, Net and Absolute Attainment.
- Drive and leverage Segmentation, Sequential Planning, other run strategies.
- Effectively manage New Product Launch implementation – on time, on cost, on quality.
Organizational Capability & Strategic Planning:
- Ensure alignment with Global Supply Chain Strategy, Global Manufacturing Strategy and Global SC Category Management.
- Develop the capability of the organization through the Prestige Performance System including people development and strong succession depth.
- Successfully align and build effective relationships with all key Supply Chain and Business Functional Leaders.
- Ensure effective communication (written & verbal) and “positive visual leadership” throughout the organization. Drive collaboration and teamwork. “Empower, Enable and Engage.”
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ yrs. of work experience within Manufacturing-Supply Chain, including 7+ years’ experience in Plant Operations line management and leadership.
- Strong understanding of Lean Sigma and Continuous Improvement philosophy, methodologies and techniques. Proven history of successfully executing and utilizing Lean Sigma Continuous Improvement philosophy, tools and techniques to drive significant, quantifiable improvements within Manufacturing Operations.
- Proven track record of leading teams and developing employees, driving collaboration and building effective relationships. Must be energetic, driven and passionate, and able to inspire and cultivate a fast-paced, change-oriented workplace.
- Strong level of "business and financial acumen" that will enable the individual to create, manage, and leverage relationships with corporate and functions external to the site such as Global Brand Value Chain, R&D, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Finance and key leaders within our Brands.
- Strong understanding of the planning and scheduling process, understands and supports inventory management principles and supports run strategies such as Lean Repetitive Flexible Supply, Optimized Order Quantities, and Segmentation. Demonstrated knowledge and experience working within a SAP environment and the respective business processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and develop solid business working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. Thrives in a very fast paced, complex environment and is able to deal with ongoing, conflicting and multiple priorities. Leverages the Prestige Performance System (PPS) to build an End to End leadership and accountability structure from the shop floor through the Site Leadership level.
- Performs as overall Operations leader for Melville 350 Manufacturing Plant and manages flagship complex operations in alignment with the Global and North American Supply Chain strategies and operating plans to deliver key factor results in Safety, Quality (cGMP requirements), Customer Service and all aspects of Plant Operating Costs across a $70MM + Operating budget and 700+ employees.
- Provides effective focus, leadership and accountability for the Melville 350 Manufacturing Operations. Ability to develop strategic plans for the plant operations and be able to have the team execute with effectiveness while achieving plant business objectives and goals.
- Ability to drive people development, engagement and trust while building effective cross functional relationships with other key plant and business functional leaders.
