Introduction to the Role: The Customer Engineering Team is seeking a Software Engineer who will focus on configuring and integrating Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and developing EDI solutions. This role requires strong expertise in TMS systems, EDI integration, and system optimization to meet specific operational needs for container drayage, intermodal, full truckload (FTL), and less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- TMS Configuration & Integration:
- Analyze and configure TMS systems (e.g., TruckMate, Trinium, Navigator) to address specific operational requirements for container drayage, intermodal, FTL, and LTL transportation.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive configuration documentation and procedures tailored to these transportation modes.
- Collaborate with business users to test, validate, and refine system configurations to ensure they meet operational needs.
- EDI Expertise:
- Design and implement EDI solutions to facilitate seamless integration and data exchange between TMS systems and external stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues to ensure accurate and smooth data flow, enhancing overall system reliability.
- System Optimization:
- Leverage deep knowledge of TMS architecture, data structures, and configuration options to enhance system performance and functionality.
- Stay updated on TMS system enhancements and updates to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with transportation management needs.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members on TMS configurations and EDI integration.
- Actively collaborate with business users and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation and refinement of configurations.
- Problem-Solving & Documentation:
- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve configuration issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all configurations, integrations, and system changes to ensure clarity and continuity.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Extensive experience in configuring and integrating TMS platforms, including TruckMate, Trinium, and Navigator.
- Strong understanding of container drayage, intermodal, FTL, and LTL transportation processes, including workflows, equipment types, and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in TMS system architecture, data structures, and configuration management.
- Expertise in EDI, including designing and implementing integration solutions.
- Problem-Solving Abilities:
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions and configurations.

Job Type: Full Time
Salary: $100,000 to $120,000
Benefits: Full time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.
The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for this position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
