Overview:
Eastern Kentucky Treatment Center, a leading provider of addiction treatment services, is seeking a highly qualified Medical Director to join our team. This position is instrumental in overseeing the clinical operations of our Alcohol and Other Drug Entity (AODE) clinic. The role is part-time, requiring commitment one day per week. The Medical Director will ensure that the clinic adheres to the highest standards of care and compliance, reviewing at least 10% of patient charts and providing clinical oversight to maintain our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical supervision and oversight for the clinic’s addiction treatment programs.
- Conduct chart reviews for a minimum of 10% of the clinic's patient population to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and counselors, to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Ensure that the clinic’s policies, procedures, and practices meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including those specific to AODE facilities in Kentucky.
- Act as a liaison between the clinical team and administrative staff, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Offer expert consultation on complex cases, guiding the clinical team in best practices and decision-making.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and maintain compliance with accreditation and licensure standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, addiction treatment advancements, and regulatory changes to keep the clinic’s protocols current and effective.
Qualifications:
- Medical License: Must hold a current and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Kentucky.
- Certifications: Board Certification in Addiction Medicine, Family Medicine, Psychiatry, or a related specialty is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferably in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or primary care with experience in managing addiction treatment programs.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with state and federal regulations pertaining to addiction treatment programs and AODE facilities.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff and patients.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Compensation:
- Pay: Competitive and based on experience and qualifications. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.

- Must maintain all relevant certifications and licensure throughout the duration of employment.
- Commitment to one day per week, with flexibility in scheduling.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening as required by state regulations for AODE facilities.
