The Vice President of Product and Market Strategy is pivotal in driving our product vision, go-to-market strategy, and ensuring alignment with market needs. This role provides strategic thinking, market analysis, and product management expertise, with a strong track record of leading successful product initiatives and a deep understanding of the foodservice industry.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product and market strategy that aligns with the company's overall vision and objectives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities and long-term strategic initiatives.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform product development and positioning.
- Identify emerging market trends and customer needs to ensure the company remains a leader in innovation.
Product Development:
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring that products meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.
- Guide cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Present product strategies and updates to the executive team and board of directors.
Financial Analysis and Performance:
- Understanding of common financial reports and ability to perform detailed financial analysis to optimize financial results.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives, market strategies, and the overall business.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize product offerings.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product and market strategy team.
- Develop and grow business, strategic, and financial acumen amongst the team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
- Manage a team of Product Managers.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA required.
- 10+ years of experience in product management, market strategy, finance, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of launching successful products and driving market growth.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Travel:
- Up to 25% North American travel, occasional international travel.
