Job Purpose Summary:
The Medical Director will provide direct care to both Harmony Bay Wellness and Victory Bay Recovery clients and patients as well as oversee our APNs, PAs, and medical team. The Medical Director will be key in the oversight and delivery of services designed to provide the highest level of care to those suffering from mental illness and addiction. This position serves both locations on one campus in Laurel Springs, NJ.
Responsibilities:
- Performing initial psychiatric evaluations
- Prescribing medications during follow-up medication management appointments
- Injection of medications when appropriate
- Provide leadership and oversight to the medical team
- Case conferencing with the Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and APN staff
- Hiring, training, and evaluation of medical staff
- On-Call/After-Hours Phone coverage and availability, as needed
Requirements:
- MD or DO Degree
- Valid State Licenses: DEA CDS Data Waiver American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and additional ASAM/ABAM/ABPM
- 5 years experience as an MD or DO
- 3 years experience in a supervisory role

- Provide information about mental illness and treatment options.
- Teach skills for reducing relapses, dealing with stress, and coping with symptoms.
- Provide information about where to obtain needed resources.
- Help people develop or enhance their natural supports for managing their illness and pursuing their goals.
